i had to drop this list to 3 as unless others emerge at the July camp, these seem to be the only three Auburn is actively recruiting, after receiving Deron Furr’s commitment.
1. Aramis Hillary (6-2/205/4.68) Johnston, SC – moves up one spot from the last rankings. was a big success at the USCe camp and right now is my favorite QB target on the board. great athleticism and, like Furr, could play a number of positions, but looks very good at QB
2. Barrett Trotter( 6-2/193/4.81) Birmingham, AL – also moves up one spot though i think his recruitment is a curiosity. if he was offered and committed, i think it has to say something about a shakeup in the current QB ranks. like what i’ve seen of his skills.
3. DC Jefferson (6-6/243/4.76) Winter Haven, FL – last ranking’s # 1 drops here as i’ve not been impressed with his in-game or camp video. size is great, but i just can’t see him playing QB at an SEC school with success. Rutgers or UCF (or moving to TE/DE) would be a good fit.
that’s all for QBs this time. i’d be happy with taking any of them, or none of them. my standpoint is we got our guy in Furr, and anything else is just icing.
